CONTENT

The skill of exhibiting is important for art and design students for final presentations, exams or exhibitions. In this module we deal with exhibiting our own work and especially our own work process and the thoughts that led to the result. The skills can be applied directly in studies and professional life. The students gain insight into the practice and theoretical background of exhibiting. The aim is to translate their own creative project, which was developed at university, in the preparatory course or elsewhere, conceptually and using a model into an exciting spatial narrative. It is not the pure presentation of objects, works or media as a result that is required, but the communication of the idea, the content, the working method and the path to the result. The exhibition visitors should gain a deep understanding of the work and perceive the artwork or design work sensually and rationally.

Participants in the "Idea2Exhibition" module have worked intensively on exhibiting their own creative project and designed an exhibition concept. They have succinctly staged the core idea in space for a target audience. The creative process was conveyed, as was the result as a work or design. The participants dealt with the effects and perception in space and studied the exhibition as a medium using models, in peer group discussions and during excursions.
