When it comes to experiencing landscapes, the journey is often just as important as the actual destination and therefore shapes our perception and interpretation of the landscape. In ‘TOP’, the alpine landscape is brought to life through a virtual chairlift ride. The vertical movement of the ascent is reflected in the depicted landscape. The virtual reality experience conveys in an experience-orientated way how flora and fauna are also shifting upwards due to climate change, thus providing a new view of the landscape. Sitting on a physical chairlift, the experience of the journey is further enhanced for users.
