Learn about the many ways to make metal malleable and shape it at will
The metal workshop is where students can realise their designs and technical aspirations. In dealing with the formal and structural aspects of metalwork they gain insight into material properties; apply a range of techniques, such as welding, soldering, and forging; and develop their own working methods. By prior arrangement the workshop may be used also outside teaching hours. To assure safe, independent use of the numerous metal processing machines and tools, inductions take place at the start of each block study week.
