Threads of a Journey to a Better Life is a creative collaboration with six asylum seekers who are currently living in Belgium. During a two-day drawing workshop, they drew pictures about their past, present and future. The hopes and fears depicted in these drawings served as ingredients for a story cloth, whereby the actual design of the narrative textile is also inspired by Flemish tapestries. Following this exhibition each of the collaborators will receive a cushion that depicts a part of their story.
