With the designs for the hamam towels, Alexander Khan references a source from his own home country, Switzerland. In the Glarus region, textiles were still printed up until the 1980s, including the so-called Yazma. Thanks to a training placement in Turkey, Khan was able to familiarise himself with the local hamam culture. The goal of his collection is to embrace the slowed-down ritual of the hamam in our Swiss baths. The patterns are transposed to the hamam towels using screen-printing.
