From Peels to Casein is a research and development project by Eunji Jun on a series of objects used for eating. The basic material is made out of dairy-industry surplus, which is then dyed with plant-based food waste collected from food markets, factories and the designer’s own kitchen. The aim of the project is to influence our behaviour towards using plastics and wasting food by motivating us to reflect on our daily consumption habits, thereby generating solutions to plastic and food waste issues.
