In Switzerland a third of all the foodstuffs produced finishes as waste. Bread in particular ends up in the bin on a large scale. What many people do not know is that a large amount of it gets incinerated.
With her project Kostbar, Bigna Zoe Suter explores bread as a material and how it is absorbed within our society’s processes. Whether as panel material, pigment or as a foodstuff again, bread is precious.
