Extensive facilities are available to the Competence Center Thermal Energy Systems and Process Engineering for education, research and development; the Competence Center is under the guidance of Prof Dr Wellig. In focus of the research activities in the lab are thermal separation processes, environmental engineering and thermal energy systems such as heat pumps, cooling systems, and heat exchangers.
