The heat supply module provides fluid flows with temperatures and mass flows that can be adjusted with high accuracy and high dynamic response. Thus the heat supply module offers a variety of connection options and operating modes. The test stand, for example, enables a simultaneous supply of heat and cooling through internal heat recovery. For this reason, the test stand is well suited for experimental studies of different heat pump systems such as water-to-water, brine-to-water and air-to-water heat pumps.
The concept of the heat supply test module is that it makes a high dynamic response possible by conditioning the heat source and sink. Thus, it is possible to ensure extremely stable test conditions and, if required, to perform dynamic measurements with vastly changing loads. This in turn allows the limits of the heat pumps and refrigeration systems to be tested.
Specifications of the heat supply module:
- Thermal power: up to 25 kW
- Mass flows: up to 5,000 kg/h
- Temperature range: -20°C to +80°C
The infrastructure is available for research and provision of industrial services.
