Heat pumps are the key technology for an emission-free building park. Chiller systems are also becoming increasingly important. The Competence Center supports partners and customers in the development, analysis and optimization of heat pumps and chiller systems.

Development and Integration

With their expertise in the field of heat pumps and chiller plants, the experts of the Competence Center support their partners and clients in all matters concerning the design and development of heat pumps/chiller systems up to their integration into buildings or processes.

Process and Systems Simulation

Due to many years of experience in the field of simulating heat pump/chiller systems, the experts of the Competence Center are able to simulate a wide variety of systems. Through the simulations, given systems can be quickly and cost-effectively analyzed, evaluated and, if necessary, measures can be derived.

Experimental Study in the Laboratory

With its laboratory infrastructure, which is unique in Switzerland, the Competence Center can experimentally investigate water-to-water or brine-to-water heat pumps/chillers with heating/cooling capacities of up to 600 kW. The control and measurement accuracy of the most common standards is maintained here.
