About us Get to know Smart-up and the team

Since the start of the project in 2013, Smart-up has supported more than 300 business ideas, innovation projects and independent start-ups.

More than half of the start-ups were founded as AG, GmbH or sole propietorship. Many are now established companies and a few have even made it into the "Top 100 Startups" in Switzerland. The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts pursues the promotion of start-ups as a cross-departmental strategic goal and is thus considered exemplary among Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts.

We support and motivate entrepreneurs at an early stage of their idea development and especially when no concrete prototypes or business plans exist and other funding institutions do not yet offer support. With instruction modules within the range of the idea, product and business model development we accompany students with the idea identification and arrange parellel coachings with experts.

We inspire, support and network people with a connection to the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. We work in an interdisciplinary manner and take into account the specifics of each department.
