Comprising of the Lucerne Schools of Engineering and Architecture, Business, Computer Science and Information Technology, Social Work, Design, Film and Art and Music, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is the largest educational institution in Central Switzerland. It is led by its President, Barbara Bader.

The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is one of seven publically funded and administered universities of applied sciences in Switzerland. It was founded in 1997 under an Intercantonal Council agreed to by the six Central Swiss cantons.

Management and organisation

The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is led by its President, Barbara Bader. Its strategic body is the Governing Council. The Intercantonal Council is made up of representatives of the six Central Swiss cantons.
