Guided by various international guest lecturers drawn each year from different fields in the design industry, students design simple objects, thus familiarising themselves the breadth of the design spectrum. The six-week module is divided into two starkly contrasting design positions: on the one hand an experimental, material-orientated approach that approximates to fine art and is based on the experiences gained during the first semester; and on the other a more service-orientated approach that approximates to industrial design.
'Design Positions' have been guided by Dimitri Bähler, Lovis Caputo & Sarah Küng, Klemens Grund, Fabio Hendry, Sebastian Marbacher, Christof Sigerist, Mara Tschudi und Florian Widmer.
