The skyline of Frankfurt with its numerous skyscrapers is of particular importance for the real estate industry: Frankfurt is considered the center of the financial services sector in Germany and offers, together with the European Central Bank and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, some important international institutions. In this context, an excursion to Frankfurt is of high interest for the students in the MScRE-program and took place in April 2019. In addition to a visit of the mentioned institutions and selected companies, numerous projects were analyzed and visited, among others the rebuilt Old Town of Frankfurt, the new Europaviertel, the Palais Quartier and the Squaire at Frankfurt Airport, the longest office building in Europe.
“Frankfurt is a unique and very interesting real estate market, which is characterized by many international market participants: The excursion to Frankfurt is a perfect addition to the regular studies”, concludes Prof. Dr. Michael Trübestein, director of the MScRE program.
