Major Finance & Banking
Entrepreneurial decisions always have a financial dimension. This is where the Finance & Banking major comes in: It provides in-depth expertise in the financial management of companies. Students are familiarised with the concepts of value-oriented corporate management. They are familiarised with the methods of company valuation and can prepare investment decisions. They analyse problems of capital procurement, management and repayment for companies and know how to deal with financial risks.
In the Finance & Banking major, students also familiarise themselves intensively with the banking and finance sector, which is important in Switzerland, and with financial instruments. The art of capital investment is also part of the programme. In addition, students learn what makes a bank successful in the market and what particular problems arise when managing a bank in today's digital environment.
