Biografie
Julius Lange (born in 1985 in Lucerne) studied Sociology and Philosophy at the Universities of Lucerne and Bern, with a focus in communication studies and media theories, political and cultural Sociology, as well as methods and analysis of empirical research. He received his Master of Arts in Sociology in 2019 with a thesis concerning conservative narratives in the American Tea Party’s common sense. During his studies, he worked as a project staff member at the Lucerne City Archives where he was responsible for the indexing of the former Municipal Archive of Littau. Julius is also a photographer and a multi-instrumentalist musician. Together with his band, he was granted a four months long Artist Residency in the City of Chicago by the Chicago-Lucerne Sister Cities Association in 2017. Currently, he is studying in the Master Film program at the Lucerne School of Art & Design, where he is also working as a research assistant in the two SNF funded projects: Interactive Documentaries & Video Essay.
