The Artistic Research PhD aims to generate insight by scientific means, to reflect on artistic-pedagogical practice, to foster musical creative processes and to address both challenges in the field of music education and social issues. This doctoral programme provides the in-depth skills required for students to explore questions around their own musical practice with suitable research methods. At the centre of the course is an extensive research project carried out according to the highest academic standards and developed with the support of highly experienced supervisors.
