Full-time model
The full-time model lasts six semesters. It’s ideal for students wishing to complete their studies in a single continuous period. Classes usually take place during the day, from Monday to Friday.
Part-time model
The part-time program lasts eight semesters and is suitable for students unable to devote the whole week to their studies due to family obligations, competitive sports, part-time employment or the concurrent completion of the practice-integrated bachelor's program (PiBS). The teaching days in the first and third year are Monday and Tuesday (all day) and Wednesday mornings. In the second and fourth year, classes are delivered on Wednesday mornings, Thursdays and Fridays (all day). This allows our part-time students to work between 0.4 and 0.5 FTE while studying.
Restrictions and changes in time model
You can change your time model from full-time to part-time over the course of your studies (for more information, refer to the Student Services Coordinator). However, switching from the part-time model to the full-time model is not an option. The part-time model is only available to students from Switzerland and the EU; students from non-EU/EFTA countries must study full time.
"With this offering, we are addressing "techies with a creative flair": keen to experiment, playful, with a penchant for innovative and interactive human-machine interfaces. They like to think in a networked way and want to learn by being able to try out as much as possible for themselves." - Prof. Dr. Marcel B.F.
