PARTNER UP
The students develop a coordinatable design collection coloured in different colour worlds for a specific target group on a given theme. They work on the design themes digitally, according to the framework conditions of the partner company involved. In a customer presentation, the collection is exposed to the criteria of the market. The students discuss the economic impact of textile processes and products along the value chain and write short texts in English on current design topics.

KEEP IT LOCAL
"Producing as locally as possible" is the wish of many young designers and start-ups.
But what does that mean in times of globally organised supply chains? "Keep it Local" offers the tools to check and set up production conditions for your own textile product. Whether it's a foulard, fan scarf, bath towel, socks or parasol: There are many challenges on the way from the idea to the finished product. The students get practical insights into the processes, information about the supply chain and understand these processes. Keep it Local empowers students to question and change the production conditions of a textile prototype. They calculate costs and prices. They name the consequences of local and define the term in their own understanding: How local is local?
