Lakes are an essential feature of the Swiss landscape – but how do things look beneath their surface? A ceramic 3D printer was used to create objects inspired by Swiss mountain lakes, so fusing innovative technology and traditional materials. The aesthetic of the cumulative layers is reminiscent of contour lines on a map, the printed material of sediment rock. The production process, the material and the content of the work become one, and demonstrate a model application of the ceramic 3D printing technique for object design.
