Das Prinzip eines zweiten Abschlusses ist einfach: Der oder die Studierende erhält die Möglichkeit zwei aufeinander abgestimmte Abschlüsse zu erlangen, einer davon mit einer Partnerinstitution. Die Hochschule Luzern – Wirtschaft bemüht sich, nur mit den besten Partneruniversitäten in anderen Ländern Angebote für einen zweiten Abschluss auf Basis eines Auslandsemesters anzubieten. Im Moment sieht das Angebot wie folgt aus:

Alessandro De Carli hat im Rahmen seines Master of Science in Real Estate an der Hochschule Luzern - Wirtschaft ein Semester an der Lingnan University in Hong Kong studiert. Dadurch erhielt er am Ende dieses Semesters einen zweiten Abschluss, nämlich einen Master of Science in International Banking and Finance der Lingnan University.
