In the framework of our exchange programme, students enrolled at an international music college or university have the opportunity to spend one or two semesters at the Lucerne School of Music.
The Swiss-European Mobility Programme SEMP offers grants to exchange students from European partner universities.
Once the student has been nominated, the following documents required for the application must be uploaded via the online application tool:
For the autumn and spring semester: 30 April
In exceptional cases, applications will be considered outside the designated time frame. For more information, please refer to the International Office.
As a rule, exchange students from partner universities are exempt from paying study fees at Lucerne. Moreover, the Swiss-European Mobility Programme SEMP provides funding for the student exchange programmes with our European partner universities (see Movetia website). Incoming students enrolled at a European partner university are entitled to SEMP grants for their exchange semester. The grants are processed via the Mobility-Online platform after the start of the exchange.
Students from countries subject to visa requirements must apply for a visa before entering the country.
Once accepted to the programme, exchange students may sign up for student accommodation on the Mobility-Online platform.
International students must take out health insurance that is recognised by Swiss law for the duration of their stay.
Exchange students at the HSLU may attend modules delivered by the language centre.
