Project goal:
The project requires a new fluidic manifold to be developed that connects to three micro-pumps, eight micro-values, a cylindrical,10 cm long (diameter 1.5 cm) growth chamber, and four, 5 milliliter treatment bags. The entire system should have nominal dimension of 6.6 cm x 6.6 cm x 6.6 cm and the manifold material should be biocompatible, similar to past designs (as an example, see Figure 2). The completed system will be tested on a yeast/algal bioreactor that will be deployed on the ISS or a Lunar mission.
