Natural and synthetic yarns, the finest purls, thick cord, glittery effect yarns and transparent monofilaments are only a fraction of the infinitely nuanced range of materials with which textile planes can be constructed. Our workshops are equipped with electronic weaving looms as well as analogue and digital knitting and embroidery machines, with silkscreen work stations and inkjet printers as well as a heat press machine, laser cutter and colour lab. Through theoretical and hands-on practical work, students here learn the broadest possible variety of weaving, knitting, embroidery and print techniques as well as how to apply specific software. The facilities are open to students of textile design for preparation of their Master’s/ Bachelor’s degrees and other projects.
