Although Object Design is a relatively new study programme and its graduates hence not yet long-established in their careers, we would like to show how the Bachelor of Arts in Object Design constitutes the key to a wealth of opportunity.
Every year in early July we invite all our past and present students to join us on a boat trip that has become part and parcel of our study programme. We call it the ODsee (Object Design plus See – the German word for lake, in this case the one on our doorstep, Lake Lucerne). The sound of this name recalls the myth of Odysseus, who survived his meandering voyage thanks to endurance, intelligence and courage. Every year we literally jump in at the deep end off the ship.
In 2016, for the first time, we asked all the ODsee participants to describe their personal career paths since graduating in Object Design, and where they stand today. We were very pleased to learn that every one of them had found their personal avenue into the design industry. Their experiences are portrayed in the following brochure (in German only), which is updated and supplemented every year.
