Since 2020, the Doctor of Business Administration Association Switzerland (DBA-AS) https://dba-as.ch/ has been committed to promoting and recognizing the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Switzerland. As the third institutional member of the association, the Lucerne Business School underlines this commitment and works together with the DBA-AS to achieve these goals.
Network and exchange for DBA candidates
Numerous candidates are now enrolled in DBA programs at Swiss universities, and more and more graduates are successfully completing their DBA program. Through the DBA-AS, DBA participants at the Lucerne School of Business gain access to this network of other DBA candidates and graduates in Switzerland during and after their studies, which promotes exchange and can offer support in their own DBA projects. For example, the contacts of the DBA-AS can be very valuable for questions about research methodology or for access to relevant experts for students’ empirical research in companies and organizations in Switzerland. Students also gain access to resources and events that support their academic and personal development.
Embedding the DBA in the Swiss higher education system
The DBA as a degree and program is establishing itself in the Swiss higher education system. The institutional cooperation between the Lucerne School of Business and DBA-AS will further promote this embedding in order to further strengthen the positioning and access to the DBA as an attractive management education pathway for leaders, entrepreneurs, and practice-oriented academics, both nationally and internationally.
While DBA candidates of the Lucerne School of Business are already active on the board and in the DBA-AS association, the Lucerne School of Business also participates in the association's activities as an institution, in formats for further education in relevant subject areas, networking events, or the annual general assembly
About the Doctor of Business Administration Association Switzerland
The Doctor of Business Administration Association Switzerland (DBA-AS) is a non-profit association based in Zurich and aims to promote personal and professional exchange between students and graduates of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programs, as well as with relevant interest groups. It aims to increase awareness and acceptance of the Doctor of Business Administration in Switzerland and internationally.
