Pick-up locations
Requested items can be delivered from any ZHB location (including HSLU libraries), the Pedagogical Media Centre PMZ, and the Cooperative Storage Library Switzerland in Büron to another free of charge. Read more about your pick-up options under “Couriers and further request options”.
Self-pick-up shelf
Library users can request items from the open stacks that are available to borrow online or pick them up at the library during opening hours.
Items ready for pick-up are shelved on the self-pick-up shelf by the self-checkout station. Library users can remove and process them themselves (see “Self-checkout station” below). The items are organised alphabetically, based on the first four letters of your last name.
Requested media will be available for pick-up for a week. You will get a pick-up notification for each requested or reserved item. The medium is on hold for you for one week in the pick-up shelf. The expiry date when the medium will no longer be on hold is written on the pick-up notification or can be found in your library account in swisscovery RZS. If it is not possible for you to pick up the item by the date notified, please contact the library directly. Otherwise we will release the item for other users.
Please borrow the items from the self-pick-up shelf at self-checkout station or at the information desk before leaving the library.
Self-checkout station
There is a self-checkout station available for library users. To borrow books and other items, you need a user card. You can borrow up to 150 items. Outstanding fees must not exceed CHF 50.
