The Institute of Financial Services Zug IFZ of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts conducts a broad range of scientific research in the field of FinTech. The Academia Session of the IFZ FinTech Symposium provides a platform for researchers and industry representatives to discuss their research ideas and findings. Therefore, we cordially invite all interested researchers (incl. PhD students) to present their FinTech-related papers or projects, also at an early stage, in the Academia Session of the IFZ FinTech Symposium.
Event format
The event is hybrid, offering both online and on-site (Campus Rotkreuz, Suurstoffi 1, 6343 Rotkreuz, Switzerland) participation options for the audience and presenters. All sessions will be conducted in English.
Costs
Participation in the event is free of charge.
Target group
Researchers and industry representatives in the field of FinTech.
Call for papers
The event welcomes theoretical and empirical research papers as well as extended abstracts. The following deadlines apply:
- Submission of entries by: 31 January 2025
- Notification of acceptance/rejection: 14 February 2025
- IFZ FinTech Symposium - Academia Session: 12 March 2025 (13:20 to 16:50 CET)

A scientific committee will select the papers, which are admitted to the event. The authors will then be informed and automatically registered. During the event, each admitted author will get 30 minutes to present his/her paper or project to an expert audience, followed by a short discussion of 10 minutes.
