In this talk, concept and recent R&D status of the Space Based Solar Power (SBSP) will be described. The SBSP is considered as the future solar power station in space, with wireless power transfer (WPT) technology in its core, for the realization of a sustainable clean energy future. Most important technology of the SBSP is a phased array antenna technology, which carries wireless power from space to the Earth. It will be also covered in this talk.
