Overview
As part of the Swiss hotel classification system, hotels must measure their resource consumption annually. Establishments that already do this as part of a recognised sustainability certification are exempt from this requirement. The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts examined which environmental indicators are recorded by which certifications and compiled a list of equivalents of recognised certifications and programmes for the Swiss Hotel Association (HotellerieSuisse).
