Overview
The procedures and tools currently used in energy and spatial planning frameworks are oriented towards quantifiable influencing variables (e.g. energy requirements, distance heating connections, solar potential), whereas little attention is paid to local qualitative conditions (e.g. townscapes, settlement development) and the relevant local actors (e.g. estate developers, property owners, energy users). This project aims to link the complex interaction of local characteristics with resource-oriented spatial planning and in so doing develop a method for systematically recording and visualizing these relationships. The intention is to bring the local actors into the discourse. In addition, realizable tools for dialogical planning will be developed from current spatial planning approaches and verified through practical testing.
