As a university of applied sciences, the HSLU and its education and continuing education programmes, its research and development activities and various services are creating added value beyond the confines of the institution: for the economy, for culture, politics and society. The focus of its activities is often, but not always, Central Switzerland. The number of students and participants in continuing and executive education programmes remains stable at a high level.
