Biography
Dr. Luca Mazzola is research associate at the Hochschule Luzern-Informatik in the Data Intelligence Research Team, with interest from Big Data to Machine Learning applications, including distributed ledgers and Neural network models for data analysis.
He holds a MSc. of Engineering in Computer Sciences (Politecnico di Milano, IT, 2004) and a PhD. in Technologies for Human Communication (Università della Svizzera italiana, CH, 2014).
He is experienced in secondary usage of information for designing DSS in heterogeneous fields. He was previously employed at the JRC (Joint Research Center of the European Commission) for ML methods in containerased transportation antifraud purposes. He worked also as researcher in Saarbruecken (DE) at DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence), applying technologies from Semantic Web for Manufacturing application. He additionally lectured Medical Informatics classes at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
