Biography
Brigitt Egloff is a textile designer, researcher, and lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts - DFK. Since 2016, she has been working in design research with a focus on sustainable material strategies with an emphasis on spinning processes, textile sustainability in the context of recycled and natural fibers, color systems for solar modules, and teaching at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU - DFK). She has taught at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad, India, the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, and the Sichuan School of Fine Arts in Chongqing, China. Brigitt Egloff's artistic work has been shown in numerous exhibitions and honored with awards, including residencies in Berlin and Chicago.
Brigitt Egloff has taught in the Textile Design (BA) program since 1999 and from 2012 to 2018 in the Master's program in Design at the Lucerne School of Art and Design. She has been deputy head of the Textile Design program since 2010.
She works mainly in research and teaching. She is involved in several interdisciplinary Innosuisse projects with industrial partners from the textile and product sector and research partners (EMPA, SUPSI, and various universities). Among other things, she is dedicated to implementing textile design strategies in non-textile product areas (solar) and generally in combining research and teaching.
