As a founding member, Data Worlds participates actively in developing the profile of the new National Thematic Network (NTN).
The mission of the data+service NTN is to contribute significantly towards making Switzerland into an internationally recognised hub for big data topics. In particular, it is dedicated to discovering specific ways of extracting value from available and collected data by focusing on

The Data Worlds initiative helps to connect the expertise of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with that of data+service by making their activities visible in both worlds and inspiring others to form new relationships. At the same time, the diversified offers of Data Worlds are available to business partners of the data+service network.
With of the "Education" focus of data+service, Data Worlds especially encourages its members to participate in topical training courses at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
Thinking ahead and exploring are key activities of Data Worlds as an interdisciplinary initiative of the University. The result of this effort aims to make this possible with the help of over thirty business partners – for example by managing or participating in expert groups of data+service or in development projects.
Data World's researchers work with members of data+service directly so as to identify their primary concerns and requirements and launch new research projects by involving the best experts from throughout the network.
