Church Music has a long tradition at the Lucerne School of Music. In the education and continuing education programmes alike, the Choral Conducting and Organ profiles have both a significant practical and scholarly component. The Church Music at Lucerne Jesuit Church and other places offer a venue for the students to gain formative and varied practical experience, while the Organ Documentation Centre conducts extensive foundational research in the field. Moreover, church musicians of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts perform in concerts internationally.
