Students attending the StageLab acquire the skills required to become successful music theatre performers: a sense of space, agility, a capacity to act according to the situation and associatively, and vocal and character design. A key element of the StageLab is the close working partnership that exists between the Lucerne School of Music and theatre houses: it enables students to gain experience on established music theatre stages.
The first StageLab project began in August 2011 with the rehearsals for TourneDoReMi – Rossiniade Satienique. The work was performed at the Stadttheater Sursee in September 2011. Thanks to its success, TourneDoReMi was also shown on the stage of the Lucerne Theatre in January 2012.
