The therapy is performed by a paraplegic supported by the system via a TV screen. The upper body of the paraplegic patient is filmed and positioned on a background video with strange walking legs in such a way that the patient gets the impression that he/she can walk.
The assumption is that this visual input is able to correct the mismatch of motor commands and sensory feedback.
