Maps are an invitation to explore the world. They prompt a longing to see distant lands, guide us to expected destinations or serve as signposts to the unknown. They are endeavours to grasp the world. Symbols, forms, surfaces and important milestones in cartography were adopted, intermingled and reinterpreted.
