The “Play”, “Think” and “Share” modules of
the Data Design + Art programme all revolve around practical project work.
Students have the chance to be led by their curiosity and to study
environmental, economic or social phenomena through research and data analyses.
Engaging with research, media and business cooperation partners, they develop a
deep understanding of data and its translation into visual representation.
Using interdisciplinary skills and different types of media, students use
design and narrative techniques to render data in a form designed to reach the
target audience. Possible forms include
interactive infographics, the staging of data in 3D spaces, data journalistic
research, AR/VR applications, and performances.
