Biography
Dana Blume works at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU DFK) as a project manager for interdisciplinarity and transformation and as co-chair of the Commission Digitality. In this role, she develops and leads projects to promote digitality and the interdisciplinary +Focus and ISA modules. She is also responsible for the strategic development of DFK continuing education.
Previously, she worked as co-project manager of the cross-university and swissuniversities-funded LeLa - LernLabor Hochschuldidaktik für Digital Skills (ZHdK, ETH, UZH, PHZH, ZHAW), where she initiated transformative university didactic projects and was involved in competence development in the areas of collaboration, digitality, educational design, feedback methods and assessment. She was also involved in projects supported by Innosuisse and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) to promote scientific research.
In addition to her work, Dana Blume is doing her doctorate in art didactics and educational science at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart (abk) and in the PhD program in Art and Design Didactics at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK. Her research focuses on systemic approaches to strengthen the reflective abilities of learners and teachers. As a lecturer, she teaches reflection modules and supports students and teachers in mentoring formats.
With an interdisciplinary educational background in creative arts therapy (Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen & Hogeschool Zuyd Sittard), interaction design (HyperWerk) and a Master of Arts in Design, she combines scientific, artistic and pedagogical perspectives.
Dana Blume is a member of the Special Interest Groups Open Educational Resources (SIG OER) and SIG Digital Skills, as well as a representative of PhD students on the steering committee of the doctoral program in art and design didactics at ZHdK, PHZH, PHFR and abk.
