The "Master's Thesis Excellence Award" is presented biannually to outstanding students of the MSc BA Major in People Management and Organisation. Winners are announced at the diploma ceremonies held in February and September each year.
The recipient will be honored with a certificate and a cash prize of CHF 1,000.

Criteria
To be eligible for nomination, there are specific criteria to be met (academic excellence, originality, and practical benefit). The submitted master thesis must have received a mark of at least an 5.5. Importantly, candidates may not nominate their own work; only the thesis Supervisor/Co-Supervisor may submit the thesis for consideration.
There are two submission dates per year.
2025: 1 February and 1 July

Jury
The jury is composed of 4 members. Two members come from practice and evaluate the application relevance of the thesis, two members come from the university and evaluate the scientific quality of the Master's thesis. Regarding the selection of practice partners, the HSLU works together with the Zurich Society for Human Resource Management ZGP.
Publication of the award-winning thesis
Master's theses that have received an award are published on the HSLU website featuring the title, student’s name, and an abstract.
