The ranking evaluates various factors in the areas of employability and career opportunities for students, as well as diversity and internationality of the program.
According to the Financial Times, the Master of Science in Banking & Finance program ranks among the top 65 finance programs in the world. The HSLU master's program is ranked 57th. In the "Value for Money" category, the program is even the best finance program in the world. Compared to the top 65 programs in the world, the MSc in Banking & Finance also ranks in the top 5 in the "Alumni Network" category. In Switzerland, HSLU is in an exclusive group: with the University of St.Gallen (HSG), USI Università della Svizzera italiana, Université de Lausanne, and ZHAW School of Management and Law, only four other Swiss universities are represented in the ranking.

Prof. Dr. Florian Schreiber further emphasises: "The personal and professional development of our students, as well as the quality of the teaching, will remain central in the future".
The degree programme has also been part of the University Affiliation Programme of the CFA Institute since 2020. The Chartered Financial Analyst® is one of the best-known global certificates in the investment sector. Moreover, the Lucerne School of Business has been AACSB accredited since 2021.
