Overview
The project partner SyntiFi, Zug, provides privacy-preserving computational capabilities and analytical risk intelligence solutions to fight money laundering and prevent financial crime. Usually, each institution manages its own anti-money laundering process independently to conform with privacy and bank secrecy requirements. HSLU and SyntiFi jointly implement in this project analytical tools that allow financial institutions to collaborate without the need for a central trusted party. The tools developed in the current project employ secure multiparty computation (MPC) protocols to enable a joint detection of money laundering while preserving data privacy.
