Overview
Artists have been one of the most affected groups during the Corona pandemic, especially in the theater sector. The Kleintheater Luzern has planned the 2021/22 season as "hybrid". Over the course of the year different means will be evaluated on how digital communication can be used to expand and transform traditional theater offerings. Together with HSLU the different rooms of the Kleintheater will be modelled in 3D, so that they can be used in Virtual Reality. The Kleintheater invites artists and performers to a workshop in fall 2021 to explore these new technologies. Afterwards, groups of artists will be selected to create their own VR performances. During this process they will be supported by researchers from the School of Computer Science and Information Technology as well as the School of Design and Art. The finished performances will be presented to the public during a festival of digital theater during April 4th and 9th 2022.
