Overview
In four training weeks in Bukavu, about 30 freelance coaches are trained. The Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation (Swisscontact) has developed an apprenticeship system in these regions with craft enterprises. Young people from marginalised groups can complete an apprenticeship in various trades. The trained coaches accompany these groups for nine months and support them in their search for work and in setting up small businesses. The first batch of coaches was trained 2020 and 2021 and the second batch will follow 2023/24.
