Overview
Inspired in evolutionary epigenetic mechanisms, strategies which increase the adaptability of the built environment are proposed. With the application in existing neighbourhoods of consciously developed partially controllable positive stressors, reactive processes occur which will increase the adaptability of the built environment. Stress tests are applied to a number of case studies, so as analyses under the criteria of Fragility, Robustness, Resilience and Antifragility; solutions for the active implementation of positive stressors are developed.
