OneHSLU currently communicates through each of the School’s official channels and on the MyCampus. student platform, where regular “News and Events” posts with information on current topics and upcoming meetings are published.
Manuel Amstad is the president of OneHSLU. Members of the board are Remo Hugentobler, Heki Bicaj, Samir Rachide, Benjamin Huber and János Sablatura.
Proposals submitted to the HSLU:
- Basic funding for LUNA Nightline Lucerne (07.12.2021, board meeting, Lucerne)
- Creation of an independent ombud service for incidences at the School such as sexual harassment or instances of discrimination (27.03.2023, board meeting with President B. Bader, Lucerne)
- Financial support for OneHSLU (25.07.2024, email to President B. Bader)
- Introduction of a thesis navigator at the HSLU (23.10.2024, meeting of the Education Unit, Lucerne)
VSS
Starting in 2025, OneHSLU will be a new VSS (Swiss Student Union) section member. The VSS is the umbrella organisation of student bodies in Switzerland. Established in 1920, the VSS represents the student bodies of universities of applied science, universities of teacher education, cantonal universities, and the Federal Institutes of Technology at national level. At the core of its activities are developments in university education in Switzerland and Europe, equal opportunities, equality, quality assurance, sustainability, student mobility and solidarity among students around the globe. The federation has a small and a large legislative body (the assembly of delegates and the section council), an executive body (the board) and a supervisory body (the audit committee). https://vss-unes.ch/
