German as a Foreign Language A1 Intensive Course German – language of poets and philosophers

The module provides insights into German life, culture and politics and also topics about life as a student.

Overview

This course is aimed at students for whom German is not their first language - beginners. The module produces marked improvements in students command of the language. It requires serious motivation.
Students successfully completing the module are capable of understanding and using everyday expressions and simple sentences. Students can make themselves understood if the person they are talking to speaks slowly and clearly and helps them.

Written Exam. Various topics from the lessons will be tested.
Therefore, active participation with regular attendance in class is expected.
The exam will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 8:30 AM.
If you do not attend the exam, a grade of 1 will be given

Eligibility to attend

Eligibility is extended to all students enrolled in the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Provided places are available, admission is also open to staff and external persons (fee required).
