Reto Spoerri is an accomplished educator and researcher with a focus on extended realities (XR), game design, and interaction design. He has held teaching positions at the Fachhochschule Graubünden and the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, where he has been instrumental in shaping the curriculum for subjects like Procedural Design, 3D modeling, and Virtual Reality. His academic contributions include mentoring students in project and thesis work, with a research emphasis on content delivery in VR, information and data visualization, and user interface design for real-time 3D applications.
Spoerri's career is punctuated by several notable achievements, including the XAVER Award for the virtual encounter space at the OLMA Sonderschau 2022 and the Bundespreis Ecodesign for the "Expedition 2 Grad" project in 2020.
